We're delighted to announce a walk led by Dermot Doran on his farm near Enfield, Co. Kildare as part of the Festival of Farmland Biodiversity.
The farm walk will include:
- tall dense hedgerows and field margins
- farm wetlands and ponds
- species management for Sand martin, House martin and Swift
- native woodland creation and management.
Places limited.
Clothing: Sturdy walking boots for uneven ground. Please dress appropriately for the weather and outdoor terrain.
Not suitable for children under 16 years of age.
Dogs are not welcome on farm walks.
Health & Safety: Please be mindful that this walk includes an element of learning outdoors. Warm waterproof clothing and good walking footwear are essential. As a rule of thumb, it is generally expected that any participants who sign up for a workshop that involves spending time in the outdoors will own and bring the appropriate outdoor clothing. A risk assessment for this event has been completed and participants are asked to listen carefully to the safety briefings that are delivered on the day.
